Pathetic Motorways

Yes it is.....I must go out more...

The curiosity of weird motorways all started with the M10, for me. What is that road all about! Then I thought about the M180 which I used to drive regularly, just an empty race track!!

Also, the 4-lane A1M from Alconbury to Peterborough, marvellous (very fast) road, but starts from 2 lanes, finished with 2 lanes. 11 miles of a very wide rain funnel that floods a lot

The M96 featured in this quarters IAM magazine, as did a very interesting review of the MWay development in the UK.

Because of silly eco protestors we have been deprived of many road building projects.

On a journey to Nuneaton this morning, my 10 year old daughter started asking about m/ways  - how long does it take to build them, who paints the white lines and so on:rolleyes: . Oh lord, do I need to be concerned I wonder? Or maybe she's going to become some kind of engineer?

Oh bless her, well mine are always trying not to talk abut driving and the motorway in my car because I often harp back to my old driving instructing days and bore the pair of them about different coloured cats eyes and what different lines mean etc! LOL

Continuing my search for motorway web pages

And there I was thinking that collecting stamps was pretty bad .

It's been a long time since I wrote this in verse
So I'm doing it now and keeping it terse. This week's changes are small and lean.
Motorway Database now includes A15.
In the good old days, we used to put them in the institute, these days they run websites .
