Unfortunately, the other day I forgot to put a ticket on my dashboard when I went to the Hillingdon underground station. There to greet me was a ticket when I got back.

Problem is, I seem to have lost the ticket - does anyone know how to pay for it online? I went to their site (ncp.co.uk) but couldn't find any 'Pay us" links...

Gave them a call.. quite interesting, they don't have a record of my fine! oops :p

They did tell me to call back in a week as the fine might just be backlogged :p

Well if they write to you in a month tell them your cheque is backlogged.

not sure I understand why you want to pay the fine .. what would happen if you didn't?

I once had a fine from NCP. I parked in a previously free car park one day and by the time I'd returned they'd errected a ticket machine and issued me with a fine for not buying a ticket.

I never paid, I didn't even contact them and I heard nothing from them. I'm not sure what legal rights they have to persue you.

I was under the impression that if I didn't pay they would send the bailiffs around... otherwise what "incentive" would people have to pay in their pay&display parkings at all?

the bailiffs can only come round with a court order. how would they find out where you live?

private car parks have no power to impose fines.

all they can do is clamp and demand unreasonable fees.

hmmm....

Can't they request your address from the DVLA? The system would seem flawed otherwise!

I wasn't clamped - but I did forget to pay for my parking... I think I'm going to pay; but I'm really curious about their "powers" (or lack thereof)...
