PCP deals & additional discounts

HI,

I hear of people taking on a PCP deal and apart from the stated 'dealer contribution' also getting additional discount on the deal - how does that work with the figures and is it simply a case of asking any other 'incentives' ??

Was looking at maybe trying for a deal on a 204 estate - the new eco friendly versions sound not too bad overall - any thoughts compared to a small diesel ??

Either they overvalue the part-ex or add to the dealer contribution which shows as a discount on the invoice.

Just go through the motions then um and arr and walk away until they discount the deal to what you want to pay.
