Permanently Turning off TA?

Hello all,

We've got a 2016 212 with COMAND.

Since getting the car 12 months ago I must have 'un ticked' the 'Traffic Anouncement' box 100 times. Within a few days our radio/music gets interrupted (again) by another TA. So, back into settings I go and the TA box has a tick in it.

Does anyone know how to permanently turn TA off? It's driving us balmy.

Have you tried pressing and holding the mute button for a short while? This may well disable it.

Hey Alfie,

Pressing the mute button does turn TA on/off. However it just seems to be a shortcut to ticking/un ticking the TA box in the settings menu. I'm not sure if it's any more permanent than the way I have been doing it. Time will tell.
