why not get m4 ttc

MATT C

but , you would need to buy a new car for that one ....

Looks like my car has had a number of personal plates during previous ownership.

However, it's back on it's original registration plates.

'P 155 OFF' always appealed <img src="http://www.mbclub.co.uk/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> but the DVLA have a policy of not producing offensive plates so that one will never see the light of day hehe.

When I got my CLK430 a few months ago I wanted to get V8 CLK but at £30k asking price it was a bit too much so got V8 JDF (my initials) for £250 through the DVLA.

What a tight WAD I am!!!!!!

Question, anyone got orange (rear plate colour) screws to hold the plate on?

Fudger,

Mine are stainless steel screws, I think Halfords or any car accessory shop would sell the plastic yellow screws though.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention is that although I have standard plates, the lettering on my plates is C/F to match the sport trim of my car, rather than the standard black lettering or the faux 3D lettering. The background of the plates also has a honeycomb pattern on it.

The plates that came with the car had massive adverts on them for the garage that I bought the car from. Not subtle and not nice... first thing I changed on the car.

If anyone is considering a cheap dateless plate, eg 3 letter x 3 number, then DVLA have been selling them off but without much publicity.

Many of the plates are of little value in that (Unless your name is Xavier Victor Young) they tend to have plenty of X Y V in them - but do a neat job of hiding the age of your car.

3 letters followed by 3 numbers are priced higher than numbers followed by letters. Link below might be of help.

My experience is that these plates keep their value and occasionally rise, but for the most part aren't really investment material.
