Hi all, I noticed there is a phone facility on the steering wheel wheel on a w208 clk. Bearing that these cars were designed before bluetooth was even dreamed of there must be a way of attaching a phone, (somewhere) by means of a cable. Can a modern smartphone be used on this link? I assume a microphone must be attached somewhere too. Any ideas welcome.:(

My previous 2004 W204 had all the buttons, but it had never been pre-wired for a phone kit. Depending on the age, they needed pre-wiring as a factory fitted option. I don't know if it's possible to retro fit the phone kit to work with the buttons on the steering wheel.

I bought a Parrot kit

The last of the W208 CLK had Nokia 6x10 phone kits (optional extra) which gave you an cradle in the centre armrest, to which you can insert a Viseeo MBU3000 to get bluetooth. If you have no cradle in there then you have to retrofit the phone system first (or use something like a parrot)

Thanks guys, will look into this parrot gimmick, or a bluetooth kit.
