W209 CLK 270CDI
Hi all
Having had a search around on the forums, I can't seem to find an answer of how difficult this would be on a face lift 2004 209 CLK. I have retrofitted both a CD changer and a Comand APS, which were relatively easy.
Can someone outline the parts required and roughly the steps involved and where all the relevant parts are fitted. I would only do this as per how Mercedes would have fitted it. I'm presuming the phone cradle is fitted in the upper arm rest. I have access to WIS, but not sure if this is listed as a retrofit.
many thanks

We recently priced up a job for a customer to have Telephone Pre-wire retrofitted to his A class. With the bluetooth cradle it came in at over £1,100 and this was with just 3 hours labour. Our man who does these says it would take at least a full day.

Your car if its a facelift will require very similar parts. Your best bet is to contact [email protected] for a quote for the necessary parts. Just ask him to quote for the kit to retro fit telephone pre-wire.

Be aware though its a very big job and not one to be undertaken lightly.

Many thanks for your reply Alfie. I'll get a quote off [email protected], but sounds like there may be an awful lot of stripping out, if its a full days job for a pro. I might have to put this on the back burner for now, unless there is an alternate.

I have just had the Parrot Bluetooth handsfree kit installed in my S320 and linked to the Comand to mute the audio output cost around £240.00 and IMO is an excellent alternative to MB system.

I've used a Parrot Bluetooth for about 6 years now, great invention. I've just ordered a Parrot CK3000 Evolution + CTPPAR004 Steering Wheel control interface for my (new to me) '03 C270CDI from Car Audio Security. Give me a couple of weeks to fit and I'll let you know if it works.........
