Here's some exotic photo gear: one of the Hasselblads that went to the moon with the Apollo astonauts. On display at the Carl Zeiss museum in Jena .

Pretty sure I read somewhere, they left a load of kit up there.
As long as it wasn't a Maccy D's milkshake cup!
The Zeiss museum in Jena is definitely worth a visit, as is the nearby Planetarium. They've even got an old Zeiss planetarium projector decorating the local shopping centre

Hi,
A few shots from our trip to Eisriesenwelt in Austria last week - you hike up a mountain and enter an ice cave - once inside the cave you climb up 174m on a winding staircase - holding carbide acetylene lamps. The guide stops to show you natural ice sculptures and he uses magnesium strip to light them up with intense white light!

HI,
Its around 30 minutes drive from Salzburg.
I took my Garmin GPS with me and fitted it on the windscreen of the hire car.
The car park of the Eisriesenwelt visitor centre is at coordinates 47.4965741, 13.1947745
Once you park in one of the 4 car parks - you walk uphill to the visitor centre.
We booked online and they give you a 30 Minute arrival time slot.
You then checkin and walk for around 20 minutes uphill to a cable car station.
Cable car then takes you nearly vertically up around 560m.
You then walk for another 20 minutes uphill to the cave entrance (‘hole in the mountain that you can see in my photos)
Inside cave - it’s a 174m walk up around 1400 steps - then down again!
Its 0 degrees inside the cave and as I have asthma - it’s probably one of the hardest things I have ever done!!
Cheers
Steve

Hi,
........... - you hike up a mountain and enter an ice cave - once inside the cave you climb up 174m on a winding staircase - ..............
That does not seem like a holiday to me. Seems more like punishment. :D
