The day started being picked up by Acid from the hotel I was staying at (I travelled down the day before to have the car serviced and Acid wanted to have a good check over the car as it has done 2000 miles since being installed…see the other Thread for the Oil catch can).
We pulled up outside MSL to find ChrisA asleep in his Stage 3 CLS he was down for an Ice Tank install. He took me for a quick blast down the Famous MSL drag strip and that car is quick……its just effortless in the way it builds speed. Chris has now a true monster to be proud of (especially after all the heartbreak he has been through).
The Journalist / Photographer arrived with enough equipment to fill the boot of the C63 and off we went to find some nice scenery and twisty roads for him to try the car out.
It was the 1st time I have been a passenger in the car and I am glad Steve was a good driver, he was telling me how he was in a Carlson C63 a couple of weeks ago on a track as we drifted around a couple of nice sweeping bends!!!!!!
We finally arrived at a Forest area (Cannock forest) and Steve set up for his static camera shoot…a few hours later and a lot of funny looks from passers by the static shoot was done, and it was time for the “road shots”. This required a 2nd car and Acid rocked up with Chris in the MSL Mercedes R Class and once we were set up it was quite amusing watching Steve cling on for his life in the boot of the R class taking shots of my car from different angles on the move.
All in all what a laugh we had during the day and the car should be a 5-6 page article in Mercedes Enthusiasts so it will be interesting to see Steve’s opinion on my pride and joy.
So all in all the last 2 days have been really good and put faces to a few more forum members names. And as ever Acid and his team were the best hosts.
What a day down at MSL, my car was selected to be featured in Mercedes Enthusist magazine due to being the first to have a Supercharger fitted and currently (as far as I am aware) the most powerful C63 in the country.
