Bit of a long shot....

We are currently using Photoshop 6 but wifey desperately needs to upgrade to a newer version.

Does anyone have a copy they no longer use? Preferably be legit with a legit licence!

Any version considered, CS2, 3 or 4.

Thanks

I think there may be some confusion here. Are you using Photoshop Elements 6.0 or Photoshop 6.0?

The latest version of Photoshop Elements is 7.0. The latest version of Photoshop, which is now a component of Adobe Creative Suite, is CS4. The versions went from 6.0. 7.0 then CS, CS2, CS3, CS4. CS was effectively Photoshop 8.0, so CS4 is effectively Photoshop 11.0.

Unless you are a working professional photographer, graphic designer or illustrator it is highly unlikely that you will ever need the full version of Photoshop - it is far too complex and costs hundreds of pounds.

Photoshop Elements 7.0 is a very powerful program that is more than sufficiently capable for all amateur use.

You can buy Photoshop Elements 7.0 from Amazon for just under £60 new. The Amazon page also lists several used copies from just under £30:

Amazon.co.uk: Used and New: Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 (PC)

If you want to upgrade to Photoshop CS2 there is a good value package that I think allows you to upgrade from Photoshop 6.0 for just under £200:
