Talent, luck, smoke and mirrors ;) (and a chunk of cash)

It's not the best time of year to sell a convertible, but neither is it to buy one. The dealer was likely to have the 55 on their books all Winter, and it made sense for them to have a lower value 350 on their books instead and cash in the bank. They can use the money to make money ( even interest only), but the 55 is a potential liability (relatively speaking).

Change those wheels to stock colour and it's a win!

They're the Winter boots. Silver, 19 inch, mint, original AMG wheels are ready for the Spring. ;)

Very nice Tim:thumb:
I'd like to see the photos when you have the silver wheels on. Too much black for me:D

Stop taking pictures and carry on driving ;-), looks great I like black on black.

I do partially agree, I bought them from a forum member here, he'd bought then new in silver, then powder coated black without fitting them. I can't make myself go back to silver when they're only 3 months old!!!! ,

Maybe if the kerb gets involved, they could have a silver rim ( but would still be a bit American !!!!)

I'd like to get the silver ones on ASAP, especially as the tyres may not last too long on the black wheels. ;) but don't want to run those in the crap weather to come.

I agree with savman. I think the black on black is very nice indeed.
Lovely car fella ;)

Snap!! I picked up mine as well. Silver with all the options, (are sl65 wheels really that expensive)!!! and its brilliant.

I think I'd get away with black wheels if the calipers were painted too.

Just not sure that red works, perhaps yellow or blue?
