This was at Santa Pod the other weekend. A great day out for any muscle car fans. Feel free to drool away.

American car haters look away now. ;)

I dunno what it is; they're not all that pretty, they can't go around corners and ultimately they'd probably be as economically viable to own as a plane but there is something totally honest and strangely wonderful about American muscle cars! :)

Great pics! :D

Don't do nothing for me...

Gimme a Micra 1.0L (16-valve :D ) instead, much more fun and usable.

Some excellent pictures there. Thanks for sharing them on the forum.
What is it about that burble of a 2 plane cranked V8.

wibble wibble drool. That black on black '68 Charger is AWESOME! I miss my Challenger. I'm off to sulk.:(

Great pics - I must go again next year as I missed this year

I love the sound of an evil V8 going quick

Here's one. It was a '72 318 rallye, slapstik shifter, drums all round,no power steering.Top Banana with a gaitor grain roof. I built another 318 for it,with a 650 Holley,Edelbrock manifold, crane cam and headers-you can see my homemade exhausts in the pic,2 lengths of straight pipes and 2 Volvo 740 back boxes, with chrome tails-no balance pipe. The rumble was awesome!,Standard power was 150BHP,after that I'd reckon on 260-280...It was brilliant, very quick, and the parts were pennies. A full gasket kit was £15,carb was £110,and manifold about the same. Cheap power!
Before that I had a Dodge D100 pickup. 400ci Big Block. It would spin the 33x10.5x15 tyres at 30mph,and shoot flames out the sidepipes! 8MPG was painful though.

I LOVE V8's!

8MPG was painful though.

You wouldn't want that as a daily driver then!! :D Thanks for the pic and info. I've promised myself a '68 Charger, hopefully I'll get one eventually.

It's the first time I've been to this event, I'm going to make it a regular thing now. :)

I love American motors (yes even some of the newer ones too) Especially anything with that thunderously musical V8 rumble :D
