Hi All

It's about time I added a couple of pics my CLK so here's a couple I took earlier.

Also take a look at the brake caliper. Surely it should rust so quickly?

I've sent you a PM on how to post pics on the club website. Hope it helps.

Right, had a hack with my firewall and apache.

How do I change my original post (no edit option) to change the photo links?

Gav.

BTW. Anyone check the following link?

Nice alloys btw.

Wish they'd put the chrome on the C Sport Coupe!:D

Nice rear!;)

Understandable that you'd get a bit of oxidation on the discs, but that comes off next time you drive.

Having rust on the calipers seem a bit off. You've bought the car partly for its looks - rust on the wheels shouldn't be part of that package surely. I'd go back to the stealer.

Very nice car, good colour too.

That caliper is bad, shouldnt be like that. I suspect you have used Wonder Wheels or a similiar type of alloy wheel cleaner? Nasty stuff. The acid attacks the metal.

It's normal for the discs to rust, sometimes it can happen in literally minutes in wet weather, the first use of the brakes cleans them up.

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

I'm going to take it back to the dealer and get them to fix the rust :)

Good luck mate, expect them to say something along the lines of all calipers rust up and so its normal....

But good luck!

MB Dealer called today to asked if everything was OK with the car. I told him about the calipers and they will take a look.

Also as the car was an ex-demo they called to say they had forgot they had a tracker installed and I needed to transfer the ownership details etc.

Doesn't a tracker usually mean 10% off insurance? :bannana:

Depends on the insurance company and the model of Tracker you have. If you've already started your policy you might be lucky to get a rebate. Once they get your money they don't like giving it back.

Tracker's website has a list of insurance companies that offer discounts.

btw: Xfer fee is £30 and 1yr subscription is £100 or lifetime sub is £300 (i think)
