** Pic's of my new car, DESIGNO S63AMG V8 BiTurbo W221**

Since I done an update on the SLK, I might as well do an update on the S63AMG.

Recently I had the car professionally detailed and ceramic coated. I got someone else to do the work. It was a bit strange letting someone else work on my car as I normally like to polish the cars myself.

It took him 4 days to detail the car. Even though the paint looked in very good condition before, I had not polished the car since I bought it and the paint did feel a bit rough on the lower part of the doors. Once the car was clay bared, the swirl marks seemed even more visible as when you clay bar a car, it cause even more swirl marks to appear.

The paint has come out amazing now! The paint, wheels and windows were ceramic coated. Cleaning the car makes it very easy now and hopefully the paint will be protected for some time. I'm using a blower to dry the car as I want to avoid wiping the paint as much as I can.

Can't update the thread and not post some pic's of the car 😁

The pic's don't do the colour justice. Designo graphite grey is such a beautiful colour in the sun

I was watching this video last night on YouTube and AMGmeister mentioned who had built the engine in his CLS63 and it’s G de Giuseppe. Apparently this AMG engineer builds the engines for the black series AMG’s and his name is seen on more special cars.

He mentions the engine builder at 2:45 for anyone that would like to see it.

Anyways, it was only the other day that I took a pic of my engine bay and I thought, let me see who built mine and it was the same person!

It kind of made me feel like this car is even more special.

A friend of mine has this app that can see the spec of the car and he found out the spec of mine. I was surprised to see that it added up to just under £30k for optional extra!
I knew this car was very high spec but this is crazy!

Absolutely, Magnificent!!
I'm gonna stick me neck out, and say, those W221's are probably 2 of the nicest out there. 😎🙂👍

Very kind of you to say that! :)
Thank you, I really appreciate your comment! 🙏

Well, I just found out the last owner of my car is a celebrity and I had no idea! 🫣

I went to his house too. The car was owned by the actor, James Hooton, known as Sam Dingle who’s played in Emmerdale since 1995.
I feel bad that I didn’t recognise him.

Now it’s owned by another not so famous Sam 🤣

A pic of him next to the car when he bought it

Wow that's a small world. TBH, I still don't know the actor, never watch Emmerdale Farm. But it's good to know its gone to a good home. Maybe it might star in one of the episodes. Touchwood 👍 🙂

Me too, I don’t think I’ve ever watched Emmerdale….. if you ever see this post, sorry James 😬.
I’m trying to see if I could find any pics online :D

Just checked some of mine and it looks like my E55 engine was made by the same chap too!

They are lovely looking W221’s Sam. The garage with the lift, is that your place too? Looks like a really handy facility to use.

Oh wow an E55 with an engine built by the same engineer!
I would love to own an E55AMG one day, it's my fav E class. I've been looking for a designo model for some time now....... about 7 years 🤣
There is an E55AMG in the colour I want but the owner has never responded to any of my pm's as I would love to buy it. It's the same colour as this car

I'm fortunate to have access to ramps whenever I need to do any work on the cars or when I tend to go ott with the underside cleaning 😆.
