** Pic's of my new car, DESIGNO S63AMG V8 BiTurbo W221**

very very very nice. Love the attention to detail!

Thank you! 🙏
I haven't posted any recent photos of the car as since I had the car detailed, I've only driven it twice 🫣
I noticed you enjoy your lovely CLS as it was intended and I respect that and the car looks immaculate

Thank you! I hope to get to see yours at Benz on the green!

Decided to go to the Pistonheads meet today at Mercedes world and took the S63 there.
There were so many beautiful cars there, it was hard to pick favourites.
Saying that, I didn’t see any other S class at the meet so if we’re talking about something unusual at the car meet, the S class should go into the category 😄

I didn’t take any photos there, apart from when I was watching from far how much attention my car was getting 😄

After we left the meet, I thought I should stop and take a few photos of the car

Ahh, I am gutted, Sam.
I nearly went in my S500 and M3 Evo vert but had to change plans at the last min.

Ping me on M3Cutters if you go to the next one.

Awesome car/pics, Sam. Never tire of seeing them. 🙂🙂👍

Thank you! 🙏🏻
You are always very kind with your comments regarding my cars and I appreciate it! :)

Hello Matt!
Ah, that’s a shame. I’ll send you a pm for the next meet I go to :)

that is a lovely looking car, i'd be scared to take it out on the roads with all the idiots about

Hello everyone,

As some of you saw, I had someone professionally refurbish the whole interior on the C55 AMG and I was so impressed with the results that I had to get the front seats done on the S63 as well.
Passenger front seat was nearly perfect but I was worried if there would be any difference in the colour that’s why I had both didn’t seats done.

The colour match was so perfect that there was no need really but as I was worried if there would be even a slight difference in the colour, I still went ahead and had both front seats done.

When I was getting updates of the seats, in one photo, the front had been done but not the back of the seat and you couldn’t tell as the colour match was that good!

Anyways, I apologise for not taking proper photos of the whole interior but I’ve only driven the car twice since the front seats were done.
Next time I take the car out, I will take better photos of the whole interior.

Drivers seat all done

Fitted but the lighting is rubbish and don’t do the seat justice

Can’t update the thread without posting a couple of photos of the whole car as well 😊

Looks really good!
I have some questions on this, though if you don't mind?
I've previously owned LS460 which had some touchups done, however i was shocked to see the paint coming off after using some light leather cleaning products on it.
How is the procedure you went through with compares to that, do they use a proper leather dye instead of some supposedly cheap water based paint that was probably used on my lexus?
Also if you don't mind be asking, what's the cost like roughly, just thinking to myself if it's worth it in comparison to retrim?
I'd really appreciate your take on it as you are as keen on tiny details as I am, I wouldn't be able to live with imperfections.
Also would love to see some before/after, how this procedure deals with creases etc.

Wow. Stunning job they’ve done. Interior looks absolutely mint!!

What a fantastic looking car. I was at the PH event in my CL600 and enjoyed seeing yours.

Hello Michael,
Thank you!
I got to see your lovely CL600 when you arrived and I remember thinking how much road presence the CL and S class have.
Your car looked stunning too and I love the colour

Hello! :)
Sorry for the late reply.

I had the same fear as you but after seeing some other cars he’s done and how well the seats still look after a few years of use, it put my mind at ease. My friends e92 M3 that has champagne interior still looks fresh after 3 years since the seats were done.

Another friend had his CL55 interior done and he’s been using the car nearly every day since the work was completed and the seats still look the same. He doesn’t even use a seat cover.

I texted Raj ( the guy that done the work ) to answer your question and this was his reply…

Hey sam, so the base layer is a leather dye, colour matched to the oem seat colour, the colour is then built up using colorant which again it colour matched, it’s then all sealed in using a leather sealer (mixed with a hardener).

Cleaning - never go to hard with any leather, if you scrub, it’ll remove the sealer, even on a brand new car, chemicals are harsh and they can strip the sealer over time, the best method is to wipe, with baby wipes or a microfibre cloth to keep the leather clean and in tip top condition. “

As for the price, two front seats cost £800.

I hope this answers your question :)

Blooming lovely 👌🏻

Thank you! :)

Now I cover the seats every time the car gets used as I want them to stay looking like this for as long as possible. It doesn’t look very nice when you see a bed sheet cover the seats especially when turning up at a car meet but I don’t really care as by now most people know I’m a bit OCD 😆

What an amazing car!

Thank you!
I saw that you’re after an S63 or an S65.
Here’s the S65 if you want some inspiration :)

The V12 BiTurbo engine makes the car that little bit more special, no matter which Mercedes model has it, S, SL or CL.
I hope you find a good one.
You’ll love the W221 model

Saturday I decided to go to CarAudioSecurity in the S63 as they had organised a Mercedes day.
I got to see @badgx and his son. I had the opportunity to get to know them a bit more. It’s always nice to meet forum members and discus the love and passion we have for cars.
@badgx E63 AMG is absolutely stunning and the car looks like brand new!
It made me think it wouldn’t be such a bad thing if my S class was a little bit louder 😁

There were some great cars but as always, I forget to take some decent photos
