I do like the Mk 1 Lotus Cortinaand was wondering if the stripe is the correct colour or is it a trick of light?

Could you possibly post the pictures of your completed car please.

Whenever I see the Mk 1 it always reminds me of Jim Clark flying pass big Ford V8's

What's the red Q-plate? my guess is it's a kit car based on a Mini.

Yes, GTM Coupe, composed of two Mini front subframes, linked by a semi-monocoque chassis. The car is mid-engined: the rear subframe contained the 1380 engine from a Mini with the steering arms locked in position. The front subframe carried the steering rack, fuel tank and radiator.

The Impreza left the factory with the decals on, and is a "homologation" special, so that the parts fitted could be used in the WRC cars.
