Picture size

This may sound really dumb but can anyone tell me how to reduce an image so I can use it as an Avatar? Needs to be 19.5kb or 100 x 100 pixels.

Marcos - this may be moved to the PC advice bit - but what graphics package do you have? most have a resizing tool - but where and how to use it will differ depending on the package.
