Picture when starting C class w204 62 - car profile and then 3 torsos under

So are we saying when in "miles" that the chart isnt there at all (as I've experienced and in meters it is? If so then I'll do the same.

I gotta take it in as spotted a chip through to plastic on door handle on delivery that I need resprayed so they can sort that aswell.

Thanks to all for all the help (for both of my little niggles).

No it's there, but the bars will never go above 50mpg. Some owners on here have said theirs do, so it looks like it should be curable. I'm not sure whether this release would include the horizontal instant mpg readout bar on the speedo cluster though (it only goes up to 40mpg, which seems a bit daft).

Have a gander at thread 'New W204 C-Class owners discussion', it's long but well worth a read! Sorry not sure how to link when on the app so you have to search for it.

In a loaner at the moment and this one has the update:

There's hope!

There's also an 'upshift' light which I don't currently have:

The technician advised on pickup that an update had been applied which should cure the problem. Initial tests say tell me it didn't, but I'll know for certain tomorrow when I do my daily commute.

It's official, my C204 doesn't have this graph at all. There is no left / right when on clock or anything to do with it in options.

It's mentioned in the supplementary audio 20 booklet though. :(

What year is yours? Only a feature on MY13 cars -onwards I believe.

Is that on a manual or auto? I would have thought it was only needed on a manual.

Auto, but I think it only showed in manual mode (which I guess makes sense).

You need to maximise the display, then switch between the clock/graph.

Intuitive...

I think the upshift light is for manual cars and the seat belt display shows red if someone is sitting in the seat without the belt on.

All this does suggest another question which I have noticed with newer Mercs is how poor the manuals have got - The manuals used to be very specific and you knew what was an option and what was standard but they now throw everything in the manual and people get frustrated when they cant find out why the manual tells them one thing that the car doesn't have!!

Perhaps we should all highlight this to Mercs UK? :thumb:

No, my loaner was an auto. These differences will more than likely be down to different software versions. I noticed another difference too in the loan car, it had something called "assisting graphics", which if you activated it displayed in the instrument cluster an image of the front of the car, drivers view. Not sure what it is for as it didn't seem to do anything, just a static image.

Mines got it and it's an 11 plate

Looks like the software on pre MY13 cars can be updated then, which is good news. Or has it been available since you first had it (and did you have it from new)?

I've had a few more conversations with the MB technician regarding the mpg bar issue and he's now been advised by MB that there is another software update available which *should* sort it. Car going in again on Tuesday.

Pretty sure I've had it since I got the car which was new. I have had the software updated though- it was yellowy at one time but is now grey.

Update: the second software, erm, update applied has done the trick ! I also managed to get them to sort the jerky gearbox out (when pulling up at say a red light, it used to judder as it shifted gears ). Happy now.
