A few pics. from this:

We were only able to attend briefly ... dry when we got there (before the flying started), but by the time the JU-52 formations arrived (a four-ship and a two-ship ... due to the weather they had been unable to meet up on the way, as planned) it was pouring with rain :(

The Yak in the first picture did a fantastic low-level aerobatic display in the pouring rain.

The red Extra 300 did a synchronised display with a 3M wingspan r/c model (it's the model doing a knife-edge pass with smoke on in the flying shot) - fantastic.

I was a bit restricted by having the entire family incl. in-laws with me. They didn't see the attraction in standing in the pouring rain watching old aeroplanes :(

The ML was a 'follow me' car that someone had got a bit close to!

Nice pics again, my sort of thing. I went on the LH Ju-52 around Frankfurt. A surprisingly comfortable and civilised aircraft.
Because it's approach is so slow it doesn't get in line to land at Frankfurt, instead it comes in perpendicular to the runway, turns in when over the runway threshold, lands in what felt like 100 metres and immediately taxis out of the way.
The DC-3 is possibly my all time favourite but yet to fly in one.
Thanks.

I wonder if anyone can comment authoritatively on this?

The picture is of what looks like a DC-3, yet I have a suspicion that it is, in fact, not a DC-3 at all.

My suspicion is that the aircraft pictured could be a Lisunov Li-2. I.e. the semi-licence-built Russian version of the DC-3.

Yes I think it's an Li-2 rather than a DC-3.

You could see the covering on the rudder fluttering as it made the fast pass!

Yup 6 & 7 are Zlins.

The late, great, Neil Williams had a major structural failure in one in 1970. He managed to keep the wing on by flying it inverted ... rolling it right way up just as it touched the ground:
