Start the week as we mean to go on... Feast y'er mince pies on these and imagine how you'd like to dispatch them. I've just had 3 of them 'au naturel' with morning coffee. Excellent. ("They aren't just mince pies...........").
They'd have been even better warm with melting brandy butter:cool: :D .

I would take them back ...some rat has nibbled one..:D

By 'real cream' I take it you mean proper clotted cream? :p

Ditto - not my cup of tea - but I do like the look of the ones Nigella made last week - her Christmas Mince without the bitter candied peel and suet looked very yummy. Made with Fresh Cranberries, ruby port and brandy - they looked divine. Fancy making some actually. she used fresh ornage juice for the pastry too which will have also been fabby.

If anyone has the recipe and cold post it here for me I'd be very grateful!!(or PM)

I'm with the mince pie/christmas cake/pudding haters. Far too sweet and sickly although I do sometimes indulge in a morsel to be polite.

Yes I always try to make it look as I'm enjoying them :)

But my wife/mother/mother-in-law are not on this forum.

I hope...

Love em!! Nice and warm with Vanilla Ice Cream, same with Xmas pud.
