Just in the process of stripping this carb down as it has been spewing out fuel when really cold. So rather than just strip down / clean / put back together I thought why not refurb it with an overhaul kit, so.............anyone have the Part Number for this item? Many thanks in advance.

Try these sites for info

http://www.gowerlee.dircon.co.uk/spares.html#pierburg

http://www.mb190.de/techniklexikon/pierburgstromberg/pierburg.htm

http://www.ruddies.business.t-online.de/se175cdt.htm

or Try searching for Ruddies on Google and then press Translate this page - This page is German but will be translated as best Google can......

But persist with the info given, the site is a mine of information!

You can even trace the serial number of your carb on this site.

Also Just as an added bit of info, Pierburg/Zenith Stromberg translates on the german pages as "Jetty Castle"

Hope this helps.....

Hi Ian,

I rebuilt mine with a kit from these guys:

http://www.carburettorspecialists.com/products.htm

Mine was a stromberg, but as there were so many variants of the same model carb, some of the o rings were wrong, but all of the main stuff (gaskets, jet, needle etc) was all correct in the kit.

I would recommend them, they are v helpful...

Also, you can get most parts individually from GSF, EURO etc...

From what i remember, MB were charging silly prices for the internal carb parts and were taking ages to get them from germany so i gave up on them. But i did replace the external gaskets/flanges (to the manifold) with all MB parts....

Good Luck..

Jay

Many thanks for the links guy's. Been reading avidly and found that the vac lines on the carb had been put on wrong way round  no by me I hasten to add. Dont think it will or would have made a difference but who knows. Anyway all put back according to diagrams. I have yet to take it out on the road for a spin due to changing the gearbox oil / filter and an engine oil / filters change Sunday.
