Morning all, over the next few weeks I’ve got to service my 2012 Citan van and my daughters 2012 ford fiesta, I have the use of my friends two post lift, both these vehicles have pinch weld lifting points, my question is can I place the lift pads directly on the pinch weld points, or shall I purchase a set of rubber pucks that have a groove to accommodate the pinch weld? Thanks in advance for any info. Matt.

A lift like that normally has rubber pads so you should be fine as they are, though if you are able to get the arms under the subframe or something else solid do that.

Thanks for your reply, yes there are some fairly decent rubber pads on the lift, and yes I will look to see if there’s some decent subframe points. Just seams a daft idea to me, I’ve already serviced my E55 and my mates old Range Rover which has specified flat lift points, nice and easy.
