The two front wheel caps on the car keep on pitting (think that is the best way to describe it).

Got them swapped under warranty a few months ago as really they should last more than 12 months, but they have 'gone again'.

My question is twofold..

This normal?
Anybody know exactly what they are made of?

Tempted to get some other decent aftermarket ones (if such a thing exists), but not sure what the ones I have are made of and therefore what to get.

Probably quite a petty thing, but everytime I clean the car they make the wheels looks rubbish.

The centre caps? They are plastic coated in chrome stuff... they should polish up with some car polish or t cut.

Ah - never thought I could polish them. Got some Autosol somewhere so might try that. Failing that I am sure I have some T-Cut somewhere.

Never really examined them that closely. Thanks for the suggestion.
