Planet Oil 5w40 - heard of it?

My recent service included fully synthetic 'Planet' 5w40.
It says on the back its made by comma.
It meets A3 B3 SL Cf but does not say 239.3 (or whatever that code is)
is this still OK??

What car do you have?

I read somewhere that most Fully Synth oils come from the same place anyway.

5w/40 Fully Synth is suitable for most modern mercs unless you have a diesel particulate filter in which case it has to be the low ash variety.

its a 4 cylinder petrol c class old shape

the last oil i put in myself was shell helix as i am (for my sins) convinced that you get what you pay for so I was a tad concerned by this cheapo make

seems to turn over quicker in the mornings tho so maybe its a good thing

Ive used planet oils before in mine and friends cars all ok so far
It is cheap but seems okay.

Seems fine to me too, the only thing is it doesn't have 229.3 written on the side.
