Platinum White PIAA Side Lights

Went to modify my new CLS today with the "Platinum White PIAA Side Lights" from my last E Class.

However found that the CLS comes with "Platinum White PIAA Side Lights" as "Standard"???

Anyone elses new car have these fitted as standard??
Easily recognised they are Blue.

In the handbook mine says - LED side lights with Zenons, which I have.

But they are not LED but PIAA's.

which might come down to Joe Public not showing a blue light on a car, which is why people get pulled for having very blue lights and those poxy LED washer jets.

Some LED's emit a rather blue-ish light so maybe MB legal types took fright in the UK market.

Do they actually say PIAA on them, or are they just blue ?

Surprised that MB would go to the trouble !! They didn't come as standard in my new B Class .. had to get the PIAA ones !

the Ring 4 LED's come in blue or white, but are marked "for off road use only" the same goes for the 19 LED rears. The new SL sales book says LED brake lights.

Difficult to take out, I did try and gave up as too retricted. They look exactly the same as the PIAA's I had in my hand ready to fit.

I assume it is to match the white of the Bi-Xenons fitted.

About time they were making that link! I remember how stupid Edna's sides looked next to the Xenons - and then fitted the PIAAs after trying one of Brian's first - massive difference
