Hi all

Thought this would be of interest to all you music aficionados out there.
Can't wait to see it myself and have been asked to spread the word.

Thanks for the heads up, though currently have a Vox

Tony.

Thanks for the heads up on this.

Timer set just in case I forget it on the night. :)

Thanks, I must remember to watch it. My dad was a good friend of Jim Marshall and helped him to set up his music store in Hanwell, West London. Jim tried to talk my dad into joining him in an offshoot amplifier business. But my old man was an accountant and didn't believe there would be any future for such things, so left Jim to get on with it on his own. Not one of his best business decisions! (Another one was to turn down an opportunity to buy a long row of houses in Acton - each one will be worth well over £1m now!)

So, Mr Marshall, they call you the Father of Loud.
Eh? Speak up a bit,please.
 :ban:

I'm slightly biased as that's my father Ken in the clip :)

Glad he had the sense not to name you Al!

Seriously though, back in the day, these amps got hammered, thrown, kicked, dropped and then abused on a nightly basis and still kept going.

In the late 60's, a Marshall and a Gibson was seen as the passport to paradise :)

And for some.....even if they couldn't play a note, it was ;)

Here's our Marshall in action, seen just behind and to the right of my lad:

Ah yes a fine collection of one of their best sellers.
