I have just got myself a 2008 C63 AMG which is awesome, but I'm struggling to understand how I can play audio from my phone on the stereo.

I can connect to BT but that doesn't allow audio to stream as far as I can work out. I read in the COMMAND manual about the media interface cables in the glovebox, but there aren't any in there.

So whats the easiest way to get audio from the phone to the stereo? I don't own any CD's ( or at least they're all in the loft ) and only use my phone these days to play audio. I had a cable from the headphone socket to my Skoda Octavia, but I don't even seem to have an aux in with the AMG :(

3 ways
a) Use the AUX in in the glovebox
b) Have the iPod kit retrofitted. This is clunky and gives you a 40pin iPod connection in the glovebox. You select AUX on the stereo and control (and track display) is done with steering wheel buttons and the display in the instrument cluster
c) If you have COMAND (I suspect you do, colour satnav) then you can have the Media Interface retrofitted - which is a properly integrated iPod kit with the tracks /artists / albums etc shown on the COMAND. You have option of plugging in iPod/iPhone or adding a Viseeo WMA3000 and having bluetooth audio (with all the tracks/artisits info showing up in the COMAND)

Talk to Alfie on Mercedes Retrofit Specialist - Comand.co.uk he'll let you know retrofit costs for (b) and (c)

Cheers

PS, AUX in is in the glovebox near front on the side near the door. Small 3.5mm input

OK after a bit of searching I found the AUX socket in the glovebox.

Yes the car has COMAND so I guess the Media Interface is an option. With the WMA3000 can you control track selection etc from the car as well as the iPhone?

If you've got the media interface the connection is in the roof of the glovebox just behind the a/c vent

If you have MI you don't get an aux port. And on w204 I think it's also on the left. As last poster says, it can be in unobvuous locations on some model series

Drop Alfie a line via Mercedes Retrofit Specialist - Comand.co.uk with you VIN number and he can tell you what you need
