I don't know if anyone has already posted, but a few days ago I found out that our very own Simon Hunt (unit504) discovered he has a brain tumour.
It was a sudden diagnosis after an eye test when his sight went strange, they found out he was blind in one eye because of a tumour behind it.

He has had an operation today to remove the tumour but the specialists don't know yet if he will lose his sight completely - if you know Simon from here you'll know he's a lovely guy - it seems like such an unfair thing to happen to anyone, but this guy has young kids and is only in his early 30's :(

Please keep him in your prayers.

I'll update when I know more.

Emma

That's sad to hear. He's going to have a testing time but I hope he's alright in the long term.

That's really sad news :( - I've not personally met the guy but I think I remember him having recently married / kids etc. My thoughts are with him and his family, I hope everything works out as best it can do.

Will

Get well soon Simon ! :(

That is really sad news. I really hope everything works out for the best.

Really sad to hear this, hope all goes well.

It's also a reminder to us all that eye tests & regular check ups are really important...

Life is full of hurdles now a days, wishing him & his family all the best at this hard time.

I've met Simon,a really nice fella, fingers crossed for you mate I hope it all goes well.

Hope all works out for him and his family... our prayers are certainly with them.

Thank you for your kind wishes, i will be passing them on to his partner...

I just heard from her via email; - she said the op went well - they've removed most of the tumour - not all, because it is so close to a delicate part of the brain that they don't want to disturb it. But he was talking after the op - which is an excellent sign!

Please keep him in your thoughts....will let you know how he goes.

Crikey, never met you Simon, but hope all turns out well.

Ade

Certainly puts all of my, if not most people's recent problems into perspective.

Yes me too....best wishes

My thoughts are with Simon and his family.

I we were all to put our troubles on the table, we would end up taking our own back again because more often than not other peoples problems are worse than our own.

Get well soon Simon.
