Anyone have a favoured polish/wax that they use on the painted sill covers/lower section of their car?

I want something that is long lasting and doesn't let the forthcoming winter's muck to cling to the bottom half of the car too much. At the moment I apply Autoglym Super Resin polish then top it off with a layer of Zymol (Halfords variant). The Zymol gives a good finish but just doesn't seem to 'last' and needs re-doing every couple of weeks.

Cheers,

Steve

Use a good Acrylic Polish like Carlack or Klasse (see www.thepolishingcompany.com) or if you are using Autoglym super resin dont forget to apply a few coats of Autoglym Extra Gloss protection on top this will last for about 6 months.

Zymol is a high quality natural wax, you will only ever get a few weeks in places like the sills. Use Acrylics or Autoglym and then apply the zymol in these areas during the summer when your car can stay looking great for ages!

Cheers Goldfish. Will go get some EGP and see how that fairs.

ATB,

Steve
