Pollen filter location

Anyone know the location of the pollen filter in a ML W164.

My air con is smelling.

The car was serviced in January, and the pollen filter was replaced. I want to check it has actually been replaced.

Hi Wobbly

I will have a look at mine and see where it is as i've now upgraded my ML to W164. I believe its under the passenger side under dash

Right, I just had a look, If you open the bonnet and look on your right hand side you will see the air vent. You need to remove this by uncliping the two chrome clip and up pops the vent and I could see the filter behind.

Looks like you may need a small screw driver to unscrew the filter.

Failing that, you could try an anti bacterial spray sprayed into the air con air inlet. Halfords sell these and it cured my smell (That and asking the family to take a shower more often )

I have just been out, and checked, and guess what, there is NO WAY that filter has been replaced recently.

I was charged 60.09 plus VAT.

Guess which dealer is getting a telephone call on Monday morning.

Ok, following on from this, my girlfriend had her C coupe serviced last month at the same dealer.

They have charged to replace the pollen filter.

Anyone know the location of the filter on a 2008 C180K coupe.

I just want to check.

I believe its under the dash on the passenger side and there should be two of them.
