Anyone experiencing poor signal from the Sutton Coldfield transmitter.

It was very windy here last night, but the aerial doesn't appear to have moved.

Yes but only on the small tele upstairs - it was rather windy though so expect it has settled down today.

My telly's are struggling now on Freeview, though on Freesat all is well.

how long has your aerial been in place. ours re placed a year or 2 ago and the chap showed me where the water had enterd the cable and had slowly corroded the connection.

It's been up there a couple of years now so anything's possible.

Aye Captain there's no vera much wind up there in geostationary orbit ye ken.;)

Aye, that's why the Freesat uses the dish, not the aerial. I wasnea suggesting the Freeview shuld be ok just cus the Freesat is at the noo .

 The coax had been knocked out of the wall socket by Santa Claus's erection

Doh! And I was about to blame it on the pikeys for nicking the transmitter.

It's funny how a signal can travel mile upon mile through air from the transmitter to the aerial, but not through a few inches of air when the coax is unplugged!

Glad you're sorted!

Forgot to add:

Is it Christmas Eve already?

Or are you suffering from a premature erection problem?

Ho ho ho :D

It's part of the regime of the wife's Christmassing up of the house - she's 52, going on 12.

Ho ho ho :D

she's 52, going on 12.

I do hope she does not log on to here, you have just published her age for all to see!!!:D
