poor radio signal,comand, 2007 slk 350

can any body help or had this problem.
had my 2007 slk 350 about 1 month and didnt notice on the test drive that the radio would not tune in to anything but for the nearest local station and so bought the car,i have been back to the dealer (not MB) with the problem and they have had it looked at by auto electrition who fitted new aireal amp but did not improve things and so has given up, id would like to find out more if possable before i insist that my dealer books it in with MB dealer
any help on this would be great.

The problem has now been sorted by my local mb dealers and all it was, was the Arial base, so they fitted a replacement (they had one in stock) and now I have all the radio stations and the central locking also now works from 30 or so meters (had to stand up against the car before) and at no cost to me.
