Poorly lit heater controls

The heater controls on my W203 seem to me to be poorly lit, there are no blank spots , they just seem very faint . There doesnt seem to be an instrument lighting control as in other care I have owned. Is it just me or is this correct?
If there is a bulb blown how do you get to it? Thanks :bannana: :bannana:

there is a dash illumination control, ill check in my mums car tonight and get back!

Read the book and found were it is ! I can see them at last. Its the little knob used ti reset the mileage, except you simply twist it with the lights on. :bannana: :bannana:
