Positive post

On the W215 CL is there a positive post under the bonnet. I cannot open the boot with the metal key and the battery is disconnected so I want to attach a battery to a post under the bonnet so I can use the fob. I can't see one.

I'm pretty sure there isn't one... A load of wd40 into the boot lock and some grips on the key should enable you to open it

Can you not use the starter motor positive cable connection?

The key only turned one way and it wouldn't open...I followed the hand book as described. However, with a pair of pliers I was able to turn it (gently) the other way and...it opened. The hand book is wrong, turn it clockwise not anti.

^^ wot he said. Direct heavy duty cable straight to the starter battery positive terminal.
