My cd changer has been playing up for a few months now, sticking discs, comand telling me cartridge empty or not installed.
Usually remove cartridge and refit good for a little while the pack up again, would work for longer if you let each cd run out and the machine change it itself but if you told it to chnage cd thats when it tended to pack up.
Was going to send it to to be repaired vie e bay when i noticed seller says they MUST have the cartridge with the changer.
This got me thinking so i stole wifes cartridge and fitted it to my car and what do you know it works a treat well for now

So before condemning cd changer worth getting new cartridge and trying that first.
