Hi guys

Ive got a Mercedes c220 diesel CDI typ 203, and it goes into limp home mode quite alot.

Quiet a few people sent me some suggestions yesterday, so I have taken your advice and narrowed it down to this...

Ive had it on the computer and the fault showing is...

P2001 Component N15/3 (ETC control module) is faulty. - current and stored

So does anyone know that if I change the EGS unit would this sort my problem?

Also how hard would the job be to carry out if I could get hold of a new unit?

Thanks:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

Doesit have a lack of power or does it not change gear? There are two types of limp mode. Engine and gearbox.

Interesting, I have never driven one before but one of the garges did say that it was lacking power and he said the gear changes was not correct. Although they change ok before going into limp home mode. I think it does respond slow for a 2.2. So I think yes to both the questions.

Cheers

Please check your original thread. You already have 3 or 4 threads for the same issue, and it's becoming difficult to help you out.

+1
