Possible to fit automatic climate control to manual climate control on W202?

Hey guys, I managed to find a very cheap digital climate control unit from a 1999 c280 sport PLUS the surrounding faux carbon fiber trim that has the exact amount of buttons on top as my car and the the double din fit stereo and climate unit.

Do the manual and automatic climate units have the same connections in the rear of the unit?? It would only make sense right? I have a 1999 C230k.

Kind of excited for this mod!

Just did more detailed search and found out that this is extremely difficult to do on a W202 and not just a matter of simply swapping the units and front fascia!

Although on the w203's, going from the cheaper climate control to the luxury control is a simple job. oh well!

On the W203 it is easy enough to do, but it is still only a cosmetic change as just the control panel is changed while the system in the backround remains the same...
