Hi All,
I'm Alex and I'm hoping to purchase my first Mercedes soon.
The car I am looking at is a 2002 C220 CDI Sport Coupe auto. Its got 73,000 on the clock a full mercedes history too 2008 and then a Merc specialist after this. I've taken it on an extended test drive and all seems OK. The gearbox is smooth and kicks down, there are no knocks and it pulls well through the gears.
I'm aware of all the potential issues with rust (so far this car looks OK).
The one concern I have is the Valeo issue. I've searched all over the site and although I can see a lot of recommendations to get the radiator replaced I cannot seem to find how much it would cost and who can do it.
Could someone recommend me a good independant dealer where I could get this done (and potentially a glycol test). Around Herts or Surrey?
