Power Tailgate

Has anyone had any issues at all with the power tailgate. Occasionally when I press the key fob to open it it will open up a little bit then go back down it can do this 3 or 4 times and then return to normal, any ideas please ?

Don’t you have to hold the button till it opens fully

A long press opens it or closes it. Only time I've had anything like it was when something was obstructing the latch and it wouldn't close. Kept opening again. Doh! was the boot liner!

Mine on the ml stalls when I try to close it sometimes
I normally just give it the slightest of moving when I press the button and it does the rest
