Pre Facelift Audio Options

That is a bit too steep for me. I think I may just downgrade to the Audio 50. I am not a massive fan of command 2, doesnt look as slick as the other mercedes systems. If there any other systems that you can suggest then I would really appreciate it. I am not sure if if pre of post I will call the guy from who I am buying it and ask him. I think I might be getting ripped off in terms of price for the car its a c180k 2004 04 plate with 20k miles avantgarde with sports pack in excellent condition fo 12.5k on the nose. Do think I am paying too much if its pre face lift. In excellent condition. Sorry for digression but I only just found out about this pre facelift malarky today and quite frankly I am P ing myself about the deal.

I bought a similar car to you, 2004 pre facelift C180k with sports pack - fantastic car! I have 60k on the clock and paid about 1.5k less than you are about to. Seems that your price for a 20k mile car is about right. Nice deal.

I looked into a bit further and realised I was getting a nice deal. I was just wondering if you had changed the stereo in your car? and if so did you go for a stereo which covered the stereo and tray area?

Thanks for the advice but its just that the system looks a bit crap and that another system would look better. Thanks for the heads up about the speakers though. Gutted about the sound but good advice nonetheless.

The quality of the sound from COMAND is significantly better than you get with an audio 10.

JSJ, I have a C180K aswell, just pre facelift but still love it to bits, Its Avantgarde SE Auto Estate not with the sports pack, I bought it in Nov with 80K up for £9995. Your deal looks good for such low miles btw. Is it AUTO and does it have any options?

I am the same as you going mad about things and checking tons of stuff online and asking hundreds of questions, calm down you're getting a good car at a good price. Secondly what is all this fuss about not liking COMAND 2.0?!

My car came with this and it is fantastic, the Satnav is bang on accurate every time the screen is good, it is userfriendly and the sound system I have fount to be excellent. Plus it looks superb, makes the pre facelift dash IMO as the Audio 10 looks naff. It isn't cheap but it would still have set you back 2K brand new so £995 fitted is good money.

I think you basically have 2 choices, 1) Stick with the Audio 10, crap dash and sound 2) Shell out £995 or less if you find one and get a great looking dash and good sound.

I agree, everyone has there own idea on what they like. If you want to stick with OEM then COMAND 2.0 is the only option. Other systems are most likely to be single DIN and will look exactly that - aftermarket.

I'm sure Alfie will do you a good deal!

Audio 50 & Audio 20 WILL NOT FIT PRE-FACELIFT CARS

You only MB options are:

Audio 10
Audio 30
COMAND 2.0

In my view COMAND is the best option, finsihes of the dash nicely...

Thanks to everyone in this forum I have had great advice from all those that have posted replies. I am going to try and get a comand 2 system now then. I will keep you all posted to tell you how it goes!!!
