Pre facelift ? how to tell the difference C240

Evening all. Although viewing the site for over 6 month thought it was about time i jointed.
Just bough my fathers C240 sport auto estate of him, first registered in UK 20/04/1998 with 67k on the clock. How can i tell if this is a facelift model or not. What differences are there. Trolled about 500 posts on here and still confused.

Should be a facelift 98.

Look for:
-Darker rear clusters
-Bootlid with a crease below the numberplate
-Small boot lip 'spoiler'
-Plastic bodycoloured sideskirts
-Lips at the bottom corners of the bumpers (front and rear)
-Door airbags

Sorry, missed the part you said its an estate so it wont have the lip.

Cheers. Is there a site where i can put in the vin number to get vehicle build details. Only have a MB print out of service records as hand book lost in a move years ago.

Had a look at your mods a few week back impressed with the outcome much nicer than the boy racer body kits
