Ok Guys\Gals

I was at Prestige Car specialists earlier today, and he has just started concentrating on the garage as a full time venture and putting aside all the other things he used to do, therefore he will be open 6 days a week insted of just saturdays!

As part of this and the good responce and feedback he has recieved from MBClub, he has agreed a special service deal for MBClub members., I did mention hthere was one complaint and he seemed genuinly concerned, as he wasnt told about anyone not being happy.

Basically print this Message out and take it to him when you have a Major service carried out, and he will either give you 5% off the bill or your next oil service for free! You choose!

To add he only uses genuine mercedes parts and until 12 months back he was still working for mb, he left to carry on with his venture(s).

I personnally think thats a very generous offer.

If anyone does go see him, please leave feedback on the forum, it does help everyone including the companies being commented on.

Please call Suki to arrange service
07831348015 or the garage on 02085221818

I took my 500 SEC (W126, 1991, 80,000mls) in to see this guy about 18 mths ago with misfire at idle and vibes at speed.

He must have seen me coming... 'diagnosed' about £3000 worth of work - almost all of which turned out to be totally spurious and unnecessary when I got a second opinion from Charlie Wells at the SEC Shop in Kent (disorganised but highly recommended - 07970 553071).

Suki failed to spot the misfire problem (blown throttle valve control switch) and was wanting to charge me a grand to replace the steering box to fix the vibes (wheels wanted balancing properly...). That was just part of it...

If I were you I'd avoid him like the plague.

At the risk of repeating myself (I am the guy mentioned in the first post), I was charged £110 to replace a brake switch (a part that costs no more than £10). As many W202 owners know, this is an easy 10 to 15 minute job. Also, this is a common failure on MBs (cruise control stops working and the BAS/ASR light comes on).

Of course, all the above is common knowledge if you are an experienced member/user of this forum.

As a result of this experience, I would not go and have not gone anywhere near PCS since. Once trust is lost, it can never be regained.

Theres been good and bad reports ive heard abt PCS, but Ive had loadsa work carried out by prestige, and all the prices have been reasonable and the problems sorted.

Suki will, quote you a price on what "it could be", and normally tells you that it could be that that is the cause, and quotes accordingly.

Anyhow, It was due to these initial comments that I told him about that Suki has offered this deal, as I think he is genuinly not trying to rip anyone off!

As usual, you are entitled to your own opinions, and you should always get a quote before getting any work done.

Probably doesn't help much (since I have defected :D) but everytime I've used Suki in the past for work on my C43 he did a good job and came across as very knowledgeable......

Hi guys after using a specialist in North London i am now moving onto Suki.

I have heard good things about him so i guess i will find out on friday when he is due to replace the AC condensor and compressor on my 190E 2.5-16.
He is going to regas it too...

I will let you know how i get on...

I actually stated this in a thread he replied to. 3 posts and all knocking Suki. Obviously had an axe to grind. I asked what his problem was. No reply, I wonder why?
