C class does not have Advanced Parking Guidance, or Ambient Lighting in doors etc

I know what you mean , the C is starting to look very expensive.

The spec on the E class avantgarde is the MINIMUM i would expect on any of my cars at the very least.

On PCP deals, the new E will often work out cheaper than the 'equivalent' C, due to supposed higher residuals. This is the reason I went for the E.

However, I keep looking at the new C Sports in white (like the one on Emmerdale) and drooling over the looks - just a shame the E is a bit less drop dead G. (ok a lot less!)

(They also look pretty damn good in flat bright red, most surprisingly)

Yeah, although with amazing coincidence, I've just seen a white new E350 Sport parked outside the office, and it looks pretty good I must say - pust mt black SE to shame!

I discovered exactly the same, I was initially sold on a C350 cdi but the standard equipment in the E is so good it makes the C look expensive.

The huge anomaly as usual will be the AMG model which is likely to have a £20,000 premium for the E class version.

I just wish they did a nicer range of colours in the E.

I also like the C class in Fire engine red, especially the sport estate. I'm a bit fed up with monochrome colours to be honest and as I contract hire, the colour of the car is irrelevant to any residuals

Like mine perhaps? :)

Yes of course, but we all know the coupe is fab in white - saw one parked on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh back in November, and it stole the show.

This was the first time I'd seen a white Saloon in the metal, and I was a bit shocked at how good it looked.

but then it was very clean, and my black SE is very dirty :o

Ah my apologies, I thought you were referring to the coupe. :o

Not seen a saloon in white as yet (and my office is next to MB World). I did see a delivery of saloons and coupes arrive yesterday for anyone who is waiting on delivery.

Mercedes designs seem to suit white very well at the moment.

As long as its amg'd then the while looks amazing with it :)

I don't think any of the colours would look bad with big wheels etc..

There was a lovely white ML AMG'd in the showroom on saturday that looked brilliant too.

But , alas it stands out too much sometimes.

The new E estate is pretty good value and the ride & load capacity are both far above the C - shame its drivers seat is so flat and limited in adjustment and its "butt" is so ugly!

Same reason I went for the E. I had been looking at the C for almost 2 years but when I came to buy. I found out I could get a bog standard E sport for £2 and half grand more than a bog standard C sport. The advantage for me was the E had a few more stuff as standard e.g heated seats, parktronic, intelligent light sytem plus it was a newer shape and a more executive car. All that extra for 2 and a half grand, for me it was a no brainer.

Can't say I'm surprised, its always been like that. I've certainly noticed with BMW recently there isn't more than a few hundred between a 320d and 520d.

like mine? ;)

Lovely looking car fella!

Thats exactly what mine will look like.
Actually first pic seen with the fogs on.

The new LEDs are nice, but the standard fogs are still nice enough.

Just out of interest, your car, has it got xenons? or are they the standard side lights??

Is yours the C350 then?? how you like it?

My mate in Ireland has an E just like the pic above, but he actually wishes he had now bought a C. Just shows that peoples opinons are different.

Thanks dude :) Mine is the C220 CDI but with a few toys.

Yes its got xenons on it , but i think those are the standard sidelights on them all regardless , im actually thinking of retrofitting the new led's in place of the fog lamps if they work . I live all this LED daylight running light stuff. I recon it makes the cars look superb :)

If you want to see any more pickies of it they are in my gallery http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/members/fuzzer-albums-w204-c220-cdi-sport-2009.html

fuzzer, thanks for the link to pics of your car! that will keep me going for the next few weeks. How can the LEDs get retro fit? do the round fogs pop out and the whole panel gets replaced? would they be MB parts though or close copies? let me know because I would be interested to know how much / how easy to do etc.

My C350 CDi will be pretty standard apart from alloys, which were upgraded to the 18 inch AMG. Are they the ones you have got??
