Price of this SEC!!!

£10,773 plus shipping with 28 bids already in--- for a "body kitted only car" --- I don't think so. Maybe if it had a tuned engine or a competition history etc. As a styling exercise it was a bit crude IMHO and I normally like these coupes. Sorry Jay.:o

Must be the exterior temperature control - does it just control the immediate locality or the whole of California?

No need to be sorry... in fact i feel sorry for the bidders... although it has some of the AMG engine bits, i doubt its the full AMG version...

I really like wide body SECs. This one is stunning but I would prefer a darker colour. Imagine it in black

Being discussed here
"The car has all the correct AMG bits on it. I'm also 98% sure the engine was modified by AMG. If you look closesly at the valve covers, they have worn out stickers which I believe at one point stated something about the engine being modified by AMG. The airfilter is also the one that was found on DOHC's. Not a DOHC obviously, but nonetheless... an AMG engine."

It's a Euro Spec widebody in the USA, which means it's very rare. The Americans place a premium on these cars as they were so much more powerful and better looking than their own...

It's why so many of the parts I sell ship to the USA, there's quite a lot of excitement about this one in particular on Benzworld.

It does appear to be a genuine "factory" conversion, as genuine as an after market factory conversion can be.

I just happen to think they are very undervalued here in the UK at the moment which is why I buy any interesting bits I come across.

Fantastic to see the Penta alloys again.....That really was a one off alloy design...I used to have a set on my w123 Coupe...They look the business !!!!!

Nice Wheels, but around where I am, they always used to end up on Mk2 Ford Granada 2.8i Ghias (of all cars!), not quite sure if this trend was just limited to my area of West London, but they were cool wheels, especially in 16" guise (I think) with the polished lip....

Yes, but I'm not sure they fill those wide body arches very well.

never mind the temperature where i am sat, i shall just control the exterior of the vehicle
