I'm looking for an SL 500, 2003 or younger. These are my ideal specs in order of priority:
Obsidian black with black leather, no accidents, 50k miles or less, Full Mercedes Benz service history, Uk supplied car, Parktronic, Climate control, Sat Nav, Heated Seats, Bi-Xenon Headlights ,Memory Seats, 19" AMG wheels, Phone, Cd Changer, Keyless Go, TV

Budget 27k-35k depending on spec, age and condition of course

Money ready to buy immediately

Malc, I wasnt meaning it rudely just being realistic. Having just gone thru the SL500 buying process I have a grip on what is out there and the prices.

Oh dont forget a Pano roof. Great option imho.

thought I wasnt too far away from reality with that budget.
heres an ad i saw recently http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/155089.htm
and others went for below that price.
most of the cars are from trade and I just thought if I can get hold of one privately the budget should hold up no problem.
Merlin13 can you elaborate on your recent experiences ?

I know that you were, the colour of the car denotes how good the pano roof looks, I did not want that on a silver car,as its a black blob, but they are nice to have
