Problem starting a programme

I have a Garmin Zumo 550 and having decided to update the firmware etc loaded the maps onto the PC, connected the unit and updated it. Went to the Garmin site and downloaded the drivers for Windows 7 and all apears to be fine until I try to open the maps and then I get

Access was denied when MapSource tried to read from the registry.
Please consult your sytem administrator and start MapSource again.

Help please.

I don't use Win 7, but others do... Have you taken a look over on The Zumo Forums as I've seen a few message headers mention Win 7. Alternatively, give Garmin UK support a call (on their free number, of course).

I think I may have solved the problem, bought a sata HD enclosure (Simple slot in and out mechanism) and I can use the HD off my old computer where the original programme was. It'll be useful for creating a back up as well.
