Update.. 9th August. My car has been repaired, I had to bite the bullet and paid the bill £1840 they replaced the 2 nox censor's and another censor as well, plus the DPF. Mercedes Benz paid about £1000 towards the cost and the dealership knocked off a bit as well. The number 2 censor was seized solid in the DPF and they couldn't remove it. Picked it up Friday afternoon and I've put quite a few miles on the car. Adblue working like it should be and the car is running well. There is now a 2yr warranty on all the parts replaced parts and labour. Happy with the results but still a little pissed at the price but hay ho sometimes you have to bite the bullet and pay up. I must say after all the problems the main dealership did their best and I thank them for trying their best to get Mercedes Benz to pay more towards the cost. But I'm happy with the outcome the car is now sorted. But I'm still recovering from the final bill.. thanksfor all your comments. And I'll still be using the main dealership Newport and Cardiff mercedes Benz in the future. For my servicing.

Good outcome.
Keep in mind, though, that the 2 years warranty is only for the parts that the dealer replaced... it does not cover, for example, the AdBlue tank including injector nozzle, acoustic AdBlue level sensor, and the AdBlue pump.
Best to sell it or trade it while it's running well, then buy a petrol car. Alternatively, see if you can get an aftermarket mechanical breakdown warranty that covers also the AdBlue system and had a high enough cover limit (£2-3k).
