Problems with SatNav

I've replied to your email. All i need you to do is to email me back your address.

I think the above post just goes to prove how lucky we are to have Alfie here, what a great gesture:rock:
I second that. Alfie and Richard are always willing to share their wealth of expertise with us. We are very lucky to have them.

Alfie received the antenna, have not had time to try it yet will keep you informed. All the best.

I'm a bit suspicious here (kidding). He obviously charges less than a dealer, sends parts to someone in need and spends the rest of his time (almost looks like that) at the forum helping those who cannot visit him.

Is he good at lottery too or where does he get the money to buy stuff that he can send others, and probably a bit for food etc? :D

A modern day Robin Hood.
Hooray for a fine chap.:bannana: :bannana:

Alfie is a true gentleman when it comes to helping people out.

I have dealt with him a few times and he's always been helpful and courteous.
In fact when I called him once, he was on holiday abroad and still had the time to talk to me and offer help.

One day I plan to visit Alfie just to meet him to say Thank You for all the help he gave me.

Alex.

Chaps/chapesses, thanks for the kind words.

If I were good/lucky at the lottery, my sig would have some (many) additions to it.

Alfie,
I have plugged in the antenna and it is showing 6 satellites:bannana: although apparently i am in France  (I'm actually sitting at home in the UK). Looks like you were right in your diagnosis.

Can I bring it down one saturday for you to fit the real thing and get me up and running again.

Glad its diagnosed!

The easy solution here is to leave the antenna on the roof for a bit, drive around and the comand will then spot where you are. All you then need to do is to run that antenna to the underside of the rear parcel shelf which is easily accessed from the boot. Stick the antenna firmly in place so it can see up through the parcel shelf and window. so long as there is no metal in the way it will work fine.

Job done!

Alfie; what a top fella you are! :)

Sad my ML is not command equipped as I'm only in Bagshot some 10 mins away!

It could be comand equipped;) We are nearer than you think - Ascot.......

I had the same problem and after advice on here I had an aerial fitted under the dash and it works great and no more problems. Mitesh in Leicester fitted it for me. :bannana:
