I know not everyone climbs, but this one's quite important if you climb with a GriGri 2...

I knew they were too clever by half. Moving parts, how can they be reliable? I never had any problems with a leather glove while traditional belaying or even those newfangled sticht plates.

Ironically, the traditional Grigri is still considered bulletproof...

I've been using a good old fashioned plate... but am tempted to try a grigri simply for when my partner wants to work a route... being able to let them dangle and have both hands free while they rest seems like quite a benefit!
