Progress Report CLS 55

Fantastic. Looks miles better than when I last saw it. New wheels really set it off and your old wheels look a lot better on mine!!

As above - stunning looking car. The wheels really set it off

They are 9x20 up front with a ET24 and 11x20 rear with a ET35. The tyre sizes are 255/30/20 front and 305/25/20 rear. They sit pretty flush to the arch but if I was being very critical I would say I could go out another 8-10mm at the back. I'll decide whether to go down the spacer route after its been lowered.
Standard offset is 28 and you need it to be about 15 to have them flush. I have 10mm spacers on mine bringing it down to 18 and could have gone another 3mm to be perfect. As you are running 35, I would say more like a 20mm spacer is required. Just my 2p worth!

Wow what a car! I love it. Those wheels look perfect on the car. Look forward to seeing you at one of the blue water meets if possible :)

Hey buddy.

Hope your well. thanks for the compliment. I'm sure yours looks stunning now. Tbh those AMG's were made for your car and suit it down to the ground! Did you leave them in the gunmetal or did you go full silver in the end?? Some pics would be great.

Mlboy I'd have to disagree with you. I could never fit a 20mm spacer on mine or even a 15mm for that matter. It would sit too far out. The Max I could go is 10mm. If you have a look at one of my pics I posted you'll see that there's no way anything other than a 10mm would work. I done a lot of research before buying the wheels on what would fit and what clearance/ spacers I would need. Before the alloys arrived I was going to buy a 15mm for the rear to get it to ET20 as I know the general concensous is ET18/20 front and rear. I'm glad I didn't as it wouldn't of worked. I could go 5mm front which would take it to ET19 but as they don't make a 5mm hubcentric that's a no no. The rear with a 10mm spacer would get it to ET25 which would sit bang on the arch on my car.

They look great, have to agree with alx a colour change on the caliper could be interesting its just getting the colour right though. I like yellow :D

No problem mate I will keep you posted but also keep a look out for the events section. There is also a good meet up in Portsmouth in May where there is a big gtg:) but there is going to be a meet up a blue water soon :)

The company I used is called Poshwash. There based in Park lane in central London. If you google them you can see what services they provide.

what a stunning looking car - I wanted a CLS but ended up with an E63, which I love, but still prefer the look of the CLS

This arrived in the post today.....

Slightly thicker all round with black alcantara and perforated leather on the sides.

The quality of the finish is excellent....

Its a hell of alot better than what I had as a temp wheel....

Can't wait to get it fitted now. Should be within the next few days. :bannana:

Also picked this up the other day courtesy of Simon....nice one matey :thumb:

It's the X-Pipe with secondary cat and resonator delete. Tbh I wasn't even looking for this mod but sometimes temptation gets the better of me and certain deals are too hard to resist!! :D

Like the look of the steering wheel Foz - who did the re-trimming for you? I would prefer a slightly thicker one on my E.

Lovely steering wheel. Been looking at Paramount Styling ones on eBay seem genuine?

Hey Simon. The company I used is called Royal steering wheels. Tbh there are other companies out there that offer a similar service but Jack is a top bloke and his work is tried and tested. He managed to turn mine around within a week and was able to supply me with a temp wheel so the car stayed mobile....albeit a yellow one :dk:
